Staxel is a fun and friendly voxel-based town-life RPG taking inspiration from titles like Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and Minecraft. I worked in the Staxel team as a narrative designer, which means I touched a large variety of systems and elements in the game, including world design, lore, NPC design/dialogue, AI design, and general game design documentation work.
Additionally, I was also largely responsible for the game’s early marketing materials, including press releases, marketing copy, Vines, and two trailers. A big highlight of my time on Staxel was solo demoing the game for three days straight at PAX Australia 2015. I’m pretty proud of that!
